Example Three Column Layout in CSS
Example CSS Layouts
Originally, we had planned to make an exmaple layout in CSS and demonstrate the different parts of it. We realized that this has been done a whole lot before, and possibly slightly better than we could show here. Most web developers cut their teeth taking apart other people's layouts and putting them back together, so instead of trying to show you an example we're just going to link you to the three column liquid layout from Matthew James Taylor, which is possibly the pinnacle of starting points for a CSS layout. If you are serious about improving your web design and development skills, we can't recommend anything more than downloading these layouts, taking them apart, understanding how they work and putting them back together. Once you are confident with your HTML and CSS skills, why not check out our PHP Tutorials to add some functionality to your pages.
